Chamber of Commerce – Universal Waste Recycling Day (June 5)

WATERVILLE, ME — The Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with eWaste Recycling Solutions, will be hosting a Universal Waste Recycling Day on June 5, 2009. Area businesses and individuals are urged to drop off their unneeded electronics, batteries, florescent bulbs, ballasts, mercury-containing devices and other items for recycling. This event is also open to individuals. Let the Chamber pay for the truck to take it all away, you only pay per piece!

Remember, under Maine law it is illegal to store old and unused computer equipment, TV's, ballasts, batteries, and other devices containing heavy metals for more than one year. Come drop off your materials from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Eagle Rental off Armory Road in Waterville. Pre-registration is preferred, as there are small fees to recycle these items.
