Kotlas Connection Dine With a Delegation from Kotlas (Dec. 9)

The Kotlas - Waterville Area Sister City Connection invites anyone who is interested to meet the mayor of Kotlas and five Kotlas area school teachers at a soup and sandwich luncheon on Tuesday, December 9. The luncheon will take place at 11:30 a.m. in the REM Forum in the Center in Downtown Waterville.

Kotlas is Greater Waterville's sister city in Russia. During the second week of December, the Kotlas Connection will host the mayor of Kotlas and five primary and secondary school teachers from Kotlas and the neighboring towns. The teachers will be here from December 5 to 13. They will visit Waterville schools and each will spend a day shadowing a local colleague in her field of expertise. The mayor will be here for all but the first weekend and will have a separate program of activities.

Participation in the luncheon is by reservation only. The cost is $10 per person. Send a check, payable to the Kotlas Connection, to Carl Daiker, 316 Evergreen Drive, Waterville, ME 04901. We must receive your check no later than December 1. For more information, please call Carl Daiker at 873-6562 or visit the Kotlas Connection's website.
