Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area will be joining with Barrel’s Community Market to offer the first of a monthly bereavement workshop series: Cooking Simply with the Seasons. The focus of these workshops will be on creating nutritious and efficient meals with local and seasonal foods. Our chefs will offer tips on cooking in small batches or for the week and on ways to make cooking and eating enjoyable and nourishing—particularly during times of stress or grief. Abundant samples and recipes will be provided. This workshop is open to anyone in the community who has experienced the loss of a loved one. The workshop is free, but registration is required. Contact Sarah Swift-Simons, Bereavement Coordinator FMI or to join the group. Phone 873-3615 x 15 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
