Skowhegan Public Library – Book Sale and Giveaway (Dec. 5)

As part of the Holiday Stroll program, the Skowhegan Public Library on Elm Street will be giving away one free book to every child who comes into the library from 10:00 a.m to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 5. Each child from birth to twelfth grade may select a book from huge assortment of new books donated by Kristine Rinaldi for this special event. There will also be milk and cookies and a craft for children to enjoy.

Downstairs, the Friends of the Skowhegan Public Library will be conducting a used-book sale for adults of gift-quality used books for those special readers on your holiday list, and the Bloomfield Garden Club will have a Christmas tree on display with ornaments club members have made. All proceeds from the ornament sales will go to Project 2012, the library’s capital campaign.
