Promote the Arts and Entertainment
By Faye Nicholson
The talented actress Marie Cormier returns to Main Street with a gift to REM and the community. Marie, Monologues and a Meal will be presented in REM Forum at The Center on Saturday, November 10, 2007. The first course of the dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m., followed by Marie's first monologue. Three other courses will be served followed by three other monologues.
Marie Cormier regularly dazzles audiences with her ability to transform her own beautiful persona into a magical variety of characters. She is perhaps best known for her fabulous solo three hour presentations of Shirley Valentine, which she has performed all over Maine, in French and English, and as far away as Paris, France and New Brunswick, Canada. She maintains homes in both Maine and New Brunswick.
Talented community members will also entertain guests with their presentation of delicious food and drink. Guests may make reservations in person at the REM office at 93 Main Street or Waterville, or by calling REM at 873-4444. All reservations must be paid in advance; tickets will not be sold at the door. Those calling early will have the option of reserving a table for three or four couples. The cost is $20 per person. Proceeds will benefit REM's community projects.
